Kristin Fisher has joined CNN in July 2021, as the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a Space and Defense Correspondent, Kristin Fisher covers all aspects of space from NASA to the newly created Space Force as well as commercial space firms as well as space tourism. Kristin has a background in the space sector as the grandchild and daughter of NASA astronauts. In the past five years, she has covered space policies under Biden and Trump Administrations for FOX News. During that time, she was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president and the 2020 presidential election and the efforts of two administrations to combat the Coronavirus pandemic. In addition, she went on trips with President Trump and Vice President Trump frequently. The trip included a shady trip to Afghanistan. Kristin has worked in the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to becoming a part of the CBS network. Kristin was the recipient of an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as an CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin began Field Mouse Films with her expertise behind the camera in the year 2014. Field Mouse Films specialized in making documentary films for corporate clients which included Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism at Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, and their three-year old daughter.
